Jakob Knapp, born on the island of Rügen in Germany, now lives in Berlin as a freelance artist and scenographer. She studied architecture and art in Post-Soviet Russia and worked as an architect and artist in Moscow until 2010.
She engages with complex spaces across genres and seeks ways of intercultural exchange, linking the past and present. Knapp has been featured in numerous exhibitions nationally and internationally and has created countless scenographies for exhibitions, operas, musicals, comedies, and children's plays.
Jakob Knapp is part of the project group of the hybrid mediation project “MONSTERA Landscapes of Remembrance for Reeducation — Good Citizenship in Yesterday and Today”.
