Olivia Hyunsin Kim (올리비아 Hyunsin 金) was born in Siegen (DE). Artist, lecturer and curator in Berlin, Frankfurt a.M. and Seoul. She won the first place in the Amadeu Antonio Art Prize 2019 for "Miss Yellow and Me – I wanna be a musical". She completed her Master's degree in Choreography and Performance at the Institute for Applied Theatre Studies in Gießen and the HfMDK Frankfurt, and her Bachelor in German Studies with a focus on Political Science at the Seoul National University with distinction.
In 2017, she was a danceWEB scholarship holder at the Impulstanz in 2017, as well as a scholarship holder at the Tarabya Cultural Academy in 2020-21, and a scholarship holder at the Goethe-Institut Montréal/Choreographisches Zentrum Circuit-Est and Goethe Institut Salvador Bahia.
Under the name of ddanddarakim she works in recurring constellations with artists from different disciplines on choreographic works around the themes body, identity and feminism. Her works have been shown at the Sophiensælen Berlin, at the Art Sonje Center Seoul, at the Mousonturm Frankfurt, at the Museo Universitario del Chopo Mexico City, at the Rote Fabrik Zurich, Rubanah Jakarta, zeitraumexit Mannheim. Her last work "History has failed us, but..." premiered in February 2022 at the Sophiensaele.
